Meet the Team – Our Directors
Rick joined Caring Hands in 2003 as Managing Director and is also the Registered Manager. With an excellent business background, Rick’s vision, at the time, was to grow the company from its existing size to become the home care supplier of choice to both older people and as an employer.
Rick says “‘I expect high standards from our Care Workers to provide the outstanding care and support that they would expect for their own family and friends. I believe that Caring Hands is able to make a positive difference to the quality of lives of our Clients.”
Maria is the daughter of Margaret, joining Caring Hands in 2008. Maria has a strong business background and success in responding to customers in order to improve the quality of the service. Maria is keen to ensure high quality care is delivered across Caring Hands through a continuous programme of improvement and development, with input from Clients, staff and other organisations.
Maria says “Quality care provided by compassionate and kind staff remains close to my heart, having fond memories of growing up at the rest home where my parents instilled a work ethic that remains today.“
Margaret was the original founder of the care home and was at the helm for expanding the business and establishing Caring Hands. Margaret has a wealth of experience, both at managerial level and directly providing care and support. Although now retired, Margaret remains very passionate about Caring Hands providing a quality service that enables people to remain in their own home for as long as possible. Margaret is still a familiar face in the office, taking a keen interest in how things are going.
Margaret says “I am always pleased when a Client is able to say thank you for all your help, but I can manage by myself now. I know then our experienced team have done an excellent job!”
All the Directors have qualifications relevant to the positions they hold.
Middle Management Team
The Middle Management Team joined Caring Hands as Care Workers, but their professionalism and management qualities shone through early on in their employment. Over time they relished on added responsibilities, until the Middle Management Team was formed in 2009.
